Meet your therapist

Hi, I'm Faith.

I'm a compassionate and dedicated therapist with over 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples, teens, and families. I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, developmental disabilities, relationship concerns, and life transitions.

My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, solution-focused, and holistic — because I believe healing, growth, and meaningful change are possible for everyone, regardless of background or life experience.

My story

Why I do this work

My passion for mental health began when I was 11 years old and I realized I wanted to help people "not hurt so bad." That simple, childhood conviction has guided every step of my career — and it still drives me every single day.

I have worked with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1999 and have been serving in the mental health field since 2007 across a wide range of settings: community mental health, crisis intervention, intensive outpatient programs, and group therapy. I've facilitated equine therapy groups, DBT groups, IOP groups, and developmental disabilities groups, and helped develop innovative programs including High ED Reduction initiatives and Brain and Behavior programming.

I earned my Master of Social Work degree in 2024 and have dedicated my life's work to helping others heal, grow, and rediscover hope. I chose the name Wounds to Wings intentionally — because I believe the very places we've been hurt are often where our greatest strength emerges. I have called Cheyenne, Wyoming home since 2018, and I am proud to serve clients across the entire state through telehealth.

I truly believe that no matter what challenges a person faces — physical limitations, chronic illness, trauma, or unexpected life changes — growth and healing are possible. My own life experiences and personal challenges have shaped me into a more empathetic, relatable, and understanding therapist, and I feel honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate their own journeys toward healing and self-discovery.

What I stand for

My core values

Radical Warmth

You will never feel judged in this space. I bring genuine care to every session — not clinical detachment, but real human warmth that meets you exactly where you are.

Safety First

Before we go anywhere deep, we build the foundation. Safety, trust, and your pace — always. Nothing is rushed here. Confidentiality is central to that safety — what you share stays between us, protected by both law and my deepest professional commitment.

Strengths-Based

I don't see you as broken. I see someone with extraordinary resilience who hasn't yet had the right support. We build from what's already in you.

Curiosity Over Judgment

We approach your inner world with curiosity, not criticism. Every part of you — even the parts you're ashamed of — has something important to say.

How I work

My therapy approaches

I draw from multiple evidence-based modalities and tailor every session to you — not a protocol, not a checklist. You.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

We explore how your thoughts shape your feelings and behaviors — then gently challenge the patterns that no longer serve you. CBT gives you practical tools you can use between sessions.

Good for: Anxiety, depression, negative self-talk, perfectionism

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT builds four core skill sets — mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness — to help you manage intense emotions and build a life worth living.

Good for: Emotional dysregulation, self-harm, relationship instability, trauma

Trauma-Informed Care

Everything I do is grounded in an understanding of how trauma shapes the nervous system, relationships, and sense of self. You will never be pushed faster than your system can handle.

Good for: Complex trauma, PTSD, childhood wounds, relational trauma

Solution-Focused Therapy

Rather than dwelling only on problems, we identify what is already working and build on it. This forward-looking approach helps you move toward your goals with momentum and hope.

Good for: Life transitions, goal-setting, brief therapy, motivation

Strengths-Based Approach

I help you recognize and amplify the resilience, skills, and inner resources you already carry — because healing grows from what is strong in you, not just from what is broken.

Good for: Self-worth, identity, developmental disabilities, empowerment

Holistic & Somatic Work

Healing isn't just in the mind. We pay attention to the whole person — body, mind, spirit, and environment — because lasting change happens when all of you is included in the process.

Good for: Chronic illness, mind-body connection, burnout, life meaning

Beyond the office

A little more about me

🌿

In nature

You'll often find me hiking Colorado's trails or out on the water kayaking. Nature is where I recharge — and where I'm reminded that growth is always happening, even when it's invisible.

📚

Always learning

I'm a lifelong learner who loves reading, crafts, and concerts. I regularly pursue continuing education to stay at the leading edge of trauma, DBT, and developmental care.

🐱

Family & connection

Outside the office I cherish time with my husband, family, friends, and my cuddly cat. Those real-world connections remind me every day why this work matters.
