Client Rights — Wounds to Wings Therapy

Your rights matter

Client Rights

As a client, you are entitled to ethical, transparent, and respectful care. These rights are not just legal obligations — they are the foundation of the trust we build together.

Right to Respectful Treatment

You have the right to be treated with dignity, respect, and consideration at all times — regardless of your background, identity, beliefs, or circumstances.

Right to Informed Consent

You have the right to receive clear information about your treatment, including goals, methods, risks, and alternatives, before consenting to any service. You may ask questions at any time.

Right to Confidentiality

Your personal information and the content of your sessions are confidential. Information will not be shared without your written consent, except as required by law (e.g., imminent danger to self or others, mandatory reporting obligations).

Right to Participate in Your Treatment

You have the right to actively participate in developing your treatment plan, setting goals, and making decisions about your care. Your input matters and guides the direction of our work together.

Right to Refuse or Withdraw Consent

You have the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time without penalty. If you choose to end services, I will provide referrals and support to help ensure continuity of care.

Right to Access Your Records

You have the right to request access to your clinical records. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable state and federal law, including HIPAA.

Right to File a Complaint

You have the right to file a complaint if you believe your rights have been violated or if you are dissatisfied with the care you have received — without fear of retaliation.

Right to Non-Discrimination

Services are provided without discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic.

Wyoming state law

Client Rights & Confidentiality

As a client in the state of Wyoming, you hold the explicit right to confidentiality regarding your treatment. No personal information or Protected Health Information (PHI) will be released without your explicit written consent, except under the following legal exceptions required by law:

  • Known or reasonably suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children, the elderly, or disabled/incompetent individuals.
  • Clear and imminent danger to yourself or to another identified person.
  • Legal orders or official subpoenas issued by a court of law.

I use a HIPAA-compliant client portal which you will be directed to when you click Book. It handles your intake forms, scheduling, and billing securely — your information is protected every step of the way.
